My first tech company had all the resources anyone could possibly want. We were in the heart of Manhattan at the eve of the Internet boom with investors clamouring to invest.
Go-To-Market, Product-Market Fit, even Product Management, were not commonly used terms. But we had to do everything needed just like today.
It was a warehouse building right next to the West Side Highway where our team of nearly 100 people hammered away on keyboards. Voices echoing in cavernous space with industrial feel.
Fast-forward to today, everyone understands the terms and teams all over the world have the same target. Escape velocity and the ability to grow and scale profitably with perfectly repeatable processes in place.
Some teams are led by “Alphas”—those rare top performers who seem to instinctively know the next step. While their expertise can spark quick wins, they come with a price: they’re expensive, hard to manage, and often leave as soon as the next shiny opportunity appears. When they go, the momentum often goes with them.
On the other end of the spectrum, there are those with theoretical knowledge but little real-world experience. They’ve read all the books, attended every seminar, but can’t navigate the unpredictability of the field.
The problem isn’t talent—it’s the absence of a clear, repeatable process.
Over the years, I’ve mentored countless founders, and I’ve seen the same story unfold: bright ideas suffocate under the weight of confusion. The question of “What do we do next?” spirals into months or even years of stagnation.
That’s when it hit me: what founders and their teams need isn’t another strategy—it’s a framework. A way to connect strategies, sequence steps, and execute in a repeatable, scalable way.
The R3 Framework was born out of necessity. It’s not just another theory or set of templates—it’s a complete playbook. Designed to help founders and their teams navigate the chaos of GTM execution, the framework puts order where there’s been confusion.
With its 4 sprint methodology and 12-stage process, R3 empowers teams to focus on what matters most at every stage, whether they’re validating an idea, attracting early adopters, or scaling for growth.
While a defined process is critical, it’s only half the battle. Without continuous coaching and feedback, even the best-laid plans can erode. That’s why the R3 Framework doesn’t just guide you—it adapts with you.
By integrating regular review and planning cycles, the framework creates a feedback loop. It’s not about following steps blindly—it’s about iterating, learning, and improving as you go.
No framework can succeed without strong leadership. In the GTM world, your frontline managers aren’t just people managers—they’re performance accelerators.
Their role isn’t just to enforce the process but to coach teams to master it. Regular coaching, paired with clear processes, creates an environment where every team member can thrive—not just the Alphas.
If you’re struggling to achieve your GTM goals, start with these questions:
1️⃣ Do we have one, clear GTM process that everyone follows?
2️⃣ Are our frontline leaders equipped to coach, and is it their top priority?
If the answer to either is no, you’re likely leaving growth on the table.
Whether you’re starting fresh or refining an existing product, the R3 Framework provides the clarity and structure you need to succeed.
